Grounds Keeper

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Inspects the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings.  Ensures all common areas, office space, and amenities are neat and free of litter at all times
• Changes all locks in accordance with the property’s policy and ensures gates to all pool areas are working according to codes and safety standards
• Distributes notices and communications to residents as necessary
• Completes assigned minor and routine service requests in person as requested
• Maintain landscaping using lawn and gardening equipment
• Informs Community Manager of hazards or potentially dangerous situations for residents, team members, guests, and others
• Perform minor maintenance and repair on equipment and tools as required

• Attends routine safety meetings, completing required training on OSHA and other safety related laws and requirements, and by reporting accidents and incidents promptly

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Some experience in groundskeeping, caretaking or janitorial
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask, stay organized and meet deadlines
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to assist with after-hours maintenance emergencies as needed
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. and climb stairs on a regular basis
